For whatever the reason, if removal of dermal filler is required, here at Juventa we can dissolve it for you by injecting a product called Hyalase into the targeted area. Reasons for a required dissolve may be due to misplaced, excessive or uneven placement of filler, or if a client wishes to reverse the outcomes of a procedure they have undergone. Hyalase is an enzyme that causes hydrolysis (breakdown) of hyaluronic acid. When the enzyme is injected into the targeted area, it dissolves the synthetic hyaluronic acid filler whilst leaving your own intact. Whilst the Hyaluronidase begins to work immediately, the full effects are seen at approximately two weeks post procedure, once any swelling has fully subsided. The procedure itself is relatively quick, taking approximately only 10 minutes to administer.
Now hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be easily reversed, with almost no permanent adverse effects, clients can feel more rest assured in receiving dermal filler treatments, safe in the knowledge they can reverse any aspects of a result they find unsatisfactory.
In taking this procedure, clients should delay the injections of Hyalase by several days post any dermal filler implantation, this is to allow for subsidence of any short-term, treatment-related swelling.
